Opening Statement
Summerfield Waldorf School & Farm in Santa Rosa, CA,聽is seeking an energetic High School colleague who finds joy in supporting adolescents in awakening to their potential in a social context. This person cultivates dignity and respect for others and the natural world and is interested in collaborating with adults to form new initiatives in 海角社区.
At Summerfield, each faculty member carries both a teaching and an administrative role, so that when faculty positions open, they involve a particular set of skills.
Essential Job Duties
罢丑颈蝉听High School Faculty position聽would range from three quarters to full time for a colleague who has interest and experience in a mix of some (but not all!) of the following areas:
Teaching Opportunities
- Main Lessons聽in drama, humanities or class plays
- Practical Arts聽blocks in mechanics, woodworking, or metalworking
- Physical Education聽for a mixed age group of students
- Courses in our large聽Permaculture Garden
Student Life and Administrative Opportunities
- Plan and chaperone two聽outdoor trips聽a year together with a colleague.
- Serve as a student聽惭别苍迟辞谤听to support a mixed age group of students
- 颁辞补肠丑听student council聽to plan community-building events and assemblies
- Build the student ambassador program, and participate in enrollment events
- Collaborate with colleague to organize festival and orientation events
- Support ongoing transition to Google workspace
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a Waldorf High School colleague who has strong operational experience with students and teachers, as well as training and experience as a drama teacher.
Employment Details
The annual salary range is $68,685 – $91,821 for a full time position, depending on experience. We offer an excellent benefits package including medical and dental coverage, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and 90% tuition remission for qualified students.
