Essential Job Duties
The essential duty of the teacher is to be a model of maturity for young people. We are looking for professionals who:Ìý
- lead the class with presence, patience, humor, and wisdomÌý
- communicate regularly and clearly with parents and colleaguesÌý
- attend weekly staff meetingsÌý
- are organized and prepared every dayÌý
- develop healthy relationships with all students, parents, and staffÌý
Qualifications
We expect teachers to have a personalÌýconnection toÌýand appreciation for Waldorf education, andÌýwe expectÌýtheir understanding of Waldorf education toÌýcontinue toÌýdevelop over time. Formal Waldorf training isÌýpreferred, butÌýnotÌýrequired. Typically, a strong candidate will already have substantial teaching experience at a Waldorf school.Ìý
