Waldorf Middle School Students Win Engineering Contest

Congratulations to  middle school students Kayden, Ala, and Ella for winning first place at the annual Tower of Power competition at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering during National Engineers Week. Their spaghetti and marshmallow tower using a hexagonal design reached the highest heights at 53 inches!

The annual Tower of Power competition at Johns Hopkins pairs spaghetti and marshmallows for feats of strength and design. The goal is to build the highest tower without having it succumb to gravity. The competition was hosted by the  and 17 teams total registered to compete. 

The Waldorf School of Baltimore team came in first place with a 53-inch spaghetti and marshmallow tower using a hexagonal design. Each team member received a gift bag containing a variety of items from Barnes & Noble for winning the big event.
